The University of Nottingham
The Workshops will take place at the University of Nottingham . The University is in the UK top 10 of a world league of research, and has a student population of over 30,000. It is a multi-campus university, with three UK campuses and a fourth campus, opened in 2000, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In September 2004, the University admitted students to its second international campus, located in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, and thus became the first foreign university to establish a campus in China.

Accommodation
Overnight accommodation will be provided at Ancaster Hall of Residence, on the University Campus. Towels and linen are provided. They do not have a TV, but there is a TV in the main common room. There is a porter on duty until midnight.

By Rail:
Rail Travel to Nottingham
From London, the start point is St Pancras Station/Kings Cross - regular hourly rail services throughout the day (some require you to change at Leicester). Buying Rail tickets: It's always worth buying the rail tickets in advance - much cheaper. Timetables can be found online and tickets can also be purchased through this website.If you arrive at Heathrow or Gatwick, allow at least one hour from touchdown to getting to a train.
By Taxi:

From Beeston (approximately 1.5 miles)
The Rainbow 5 Trent Barton service runs from Beeston Bus Station (about 10 minutes walk from the railway station along Station Road) past the South and North entrances to the University, as well as passing QMC. Nottingham City Transport service 13 has a stop in Queen's Road, about 5 minutes walk from the Beeston railway station, turning right out of Station Road.
From East Midlands Airport (approximately 10 miles)
From East Midlands Airport you can take Trent and Barton Bus 5b, or the Nottingham City Bus Runway 5. Buses leave from outside the Airport Arrivals hall.
You can also walk to the taxi rank on the terminal forecourt and take a direct taxi to the University. The cost of a single/one way journey is approximately £20. Taxis are normally available 24 hours.
By Road:
From M1 Motorway:
Leave the M1 motorway at Junction 25 to join the A52 to Nottingham. Turn right at The Priory/Toby Cavery roundabout (about 4 miles from M1), then left at next roundabout to enter the University's West Entrance. Please be aware that there are major roadworks on the M1 between junctions 26 and 27.
If you are planning to drive, you will receive a parking permit in your registration pack that can be used in any Orange parking Zone on the University Campus (map also enclosed in the registration pack detailing these zones). This includes parking outside of Ancaster Hall but not in the central teaching area (ie Trent Building.
Registration and venue: delegates can pick up their room keys from the reception of Ancaster Hall from 3pm on Monday 22nd June (for Internet Attractions) or Monday 20th July (for Promotional Surround). There will be a registration desk for the ephemeral media workshop in the reception of Ancaster Hall between 6-7pm where you can pick up registration packs. This will be followed by an evening meal. The workshops will take place in the Trent Building on the main campus, Room B46. The Trent Building is a pleasant 10-15 minute walk from Ancaster Hall. Room B46 can be found on the first floor of the Trent Building adjacent to the Institute of Film and Television Studies. This will be signposted on the day. If anyone is planning to arrive on the day of the workshop, registration will take place in Trent B46 between 8.30-9.00am
